Ryzolt is a synthetic opioid analgesic which acts directly on the central nervous system. Thus, it is extensively used as a pain killer for a definite period of time with definite amount of doses. The effect of the medication lasts for about 6 hours and peaks at the hour of its usage.
Ryzolt extended-release tablets are for oral administration and contain 100 mg, 200 mg or 300 mg of Tramadol hydrochloride. The oral dose, however, can be arbitrated by doctor according to the medical condition, the intensity of pain and the duration over which the patient is to be treated. The volume of distribution of tramadol is 2.6 and 2.9 L/kg in males and females, respectively, following a 100 mg intravenous dose. A second dosage within 24 hours is not recommended.
Ryzolt Side effects
The following side effects maybe observed in some patients, although Ryzolt happens to be well tolerated when administered for therapeutic use:

Ryzolt extended release tablets should be swallowed whole with liquid and not split, chewed, dissolved or crushed. Ryzolt is not intended for patients who have previously exhibited hypersensitivity to tramadol, any other derivative of this product. There is risk of seizures, epilepsy and convulsion in patients who take other drugs, and are prone to head trauma, certain metabolic disorders, alcohol and drug withdrawal and CNS infections.
